Marcus Matthews was born in Europe but sings and writes Adult Contemporary Pop with a soulful and sensuous sound not often heard on either side of the Atlantic. It's as silky as chocolate mousse – but with a dash of spice. Smooth Adult Contemporary Pop with R & B overtones. A blue eyed-soulful kind of guy.
Marcus studied classical and jazz guitar, then took vocal lessons, and later topped that off with acting studies.
Working with writer/producer Peter Roberts and co-producer Lupo Groinig enabled Marcus to explore a wide range of songs. From the smooth A/C sounds of “If You Change Your Mind” and “How’s Forever” to the funky, sexy title track of the album “All I Want” - this album keeps moving. “Take My Hand” is a vision to hear and “Back To The Basics” is an urban love song. Marcus’ vocals will take you into a world of liquid motion and you want to hear more and more. And just when you think it couldn’t get any better, “Going Back To My Roots”, written by the infamous songwriting team Dozier, Lamont, Herbert, takes you to an energetic finale of this outstanding CD.
In 1999 his first CD, "It's Me" was released in Europe on Polygram Records. Later that year he won "The Award Of Distant Accords" at the Nashville Music Festival. Since then Marcus has released three CD’s and toured extensively in Europe.
Marcus Matthews has toured through Europe singing the part of Hamlet in the musical "Ophelia”, written by Russian Composer Sergei Dreznin. He's also been the featured vocalist on numerous international radio and television commercials, including Swatch, Audi, Porsche and Volkswagen.

Marcus Matthews - his soulful, sexy voice can now be heard on his first BDM Records. It's entitled "All I Want" and it will be what YOU want when you hear it. It's adult, it's contemporary and it's unique.
